Project Memory of the Sea intends to ask how the landscape can be explored by the tools of the design research and material approach. It also gives voice to the place, weaving alternative stories to those in our collective memory. The project situates the making within the context of resources and their influence on our understanding of the place, in this case, the seascape.

Creating new materials serves as a medium to understand the environment and its geo-situation.

Creating objects gives voice to designer’s vision and curiosity, forming a new language to describe this moment in time. 

The project, begun in 2018, remains ongoing.
