Collages

Collage is a research method which enables me to explore things which I cannot normally think of. Bringing representations of diverse materials, scales, colours, forms etc. opens registers which wouldn’t be normally be available to obtain.

Cut follows the hand, which recurrently finds the shape by itself. Fortuitousness of sometimes accidental pattern of image of the cut piece of paper allows to clash representations in an uncommon order. Separate planes of cut paper are bringing different entities into mishmash, which, until everything is glued together, is movable.

Often abstract forms build representations which can be read in a various ways. Practical knowledge about craft can often limit us in creative research, with collages I am realising my mind in order to find something new and triggering.
